On 26th April 2015 runners from across the country and beyond will be taking on the Virgin Money London Marathon. We are very lucky to have an incredible group of London Marathon runners raising money for The Running Charity. A big hats off to Adey Lobb of the Big Issue, Daniel Everall, Lucy Fraser-Macnamara and our very own Claude Umuhire leading the team for 2015.
Claude was a member of our very first pilot programme, he had been homeless for eight months and attributes the positive changes he has made to his life to The Running Charity. Claude gained the skills he needed to focus and achieve his goals. He is an incredible young man and we are delighted that he has recently joined our team as the London Coordinator.
Claude will be running The London Marathon on behalf of The Running Charity. The funds Claude raises will help us to increase our reach across London and the rest of the UK. If you want to read more about Claude visit The Virgin Money London Marathon website.
Come and support the team
We will be out in force to support our team and all the incredible runners. We’d love if you could join us to soak up the fantastic London Marathon atmosphere – The Running Charity viewing area will be right by Embankment station. Look out for the team in their orange T-shirts and come to say hello!
