Were you one of the thousands running the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon, or one of the millions spectating along the course or watching the live coverage? We were there in force supporting friends, loved ones and a group of our incredible fundraisers. The day was truly a festival of running and we can’t wait until next years.

Since 2012, we at The Running Charity (TRC) have been delivering a ground-breaking service using the benefits of running and fitness to help young men and women aged 16-25 escape homelessness. Last year, we obtained our charity status and gained the official support of the London Marathon enabling us to expand our service across London.

At this years marathon, we were incredibly blessed to have four AWESOME runners fundraise for TRC. A huge congratulations to Adey, Daniel, Lucy and Claude for completing the marathon and raising £4,243.80! Claude, a graduate of our pilot programme and now full-time staff member, ran the marathon after getting his entry through the ballot system. He said “The London Marathon might have been the hardest physical test I’ve ever put my body through, but I’ve learnt so much about me mentally and the rush of emotions at the end was like nothing else. I plan to run London again, that’s why I’ve already entered the ballot!”
